Mickey Epting is a senior counsel with Epting & Gillis, LLC. He focuses his
practice on estate probate and planning and litigation involving real estate. He
founded the Epting Law Firm in 1973. That firm subsequently became what is now known
as Epting & Gillis, LLC.
In the last 38 years he has successfully represented
South Carolina families who have lost loved ones in boating accidents and as a result
of dangerous and defective products. He has represented landowners in government
land takings or condemnation cases and land nuisance cases. He has also represented
many small businesses or family businesses in commercial litigation involving distribution
agreements, contracts, fraud, and bad faith litigation. Mr. Epting is licensed in
South Carolina and is admitted to practice in the United State District court for
the District of South Carolina, the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals,
and the state courts in the State of South Carolina.
He is married to the former Nancy Godwin of Charlotte, North Carolina. They have a son, Joe and a daughter,
Kristin. He is a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church.
